Well, I got a bit antsy and decided to make this post a day earlier than my once a week post. Lucky you. So, what's up this week huh? Well, It's been uber busy at hell lately, and there was a meeting in the inferno. I've been working extra hard to get all the imps in line for an inspection come mid-July. I didn't get out of there until 2 tonight..errr morning. And now more things to post.

CD Thoughts

Ok, so Au$10 and I swap music for movies every month. I send him a flick and he sends me about 5 CDs. So, here are my thoughts on some of the CDs from the past. The past being a few from the months of April and May.

Beck - Guero ****
It's Beck. It's good. Plus he rocks out on a gameboy!
Highlights: Missing
Lowlights: Why is there a video for Girl?

Sly & the Family Stone - Stand! ****
It's funky. Really funky. In fact, it's so funky sometimes that it borderlines on weird. And I love w31rD.
Highlights: Don't call me Nigger, Whitey
Lowlights: Why didn't I listen to this album earlier?

Annie - Anniemal ****
This album makes me want to blow bubbles with Bazooka Joe & Skip-Bo in a disco with Skipper.
Highlights: Me Plus One
Lowlights: Only lights here are the lights reflecting off the disco ball and the neons pulsing to the beat.

The Hold Steady - Separation Sunday ***
It's Barage Rock man! (Garage + Bar Rock)
Highlights: Cattle and the Creeping Things
Lowlights: Not as good as Almost Killed Me, but it's still Barage Rawkin hard!

The Buzzcocks - Singles Going Steady ****
Perverse song topics, screaming vocals, and hyper-spastic slammin' drums. What isn't there to like?
Highlights: Everybody's Happy Nowadays
Lowlights: ...

Dinosaur Jr. - You're Living All Over Me ***
Throw in some Sonic Youth, some Pearl Jam, and some Deftones and bam! There's Dinosaur Jr. ready to rip your head off.
Highlights: Show me the Way
Lowlights: none that I can think of right now.
